Occupancy & Vacancy Sensors
What is an Occupancy Sensor?
An occupancy sensor is an indoor motion detecting devices used to detect the presence of a person to automatically turn on/off lights, temperature or ventilation systems.
What is the Difference between Occupancy and Motion Sensors?
An Occupancy sensor detects presence of people or animals in a space. Whereas the motion sensor responds to moving objects only. The difference between them is occupancy sensor produce signals whenever an object is stationary or not while motion sensor is sensitive to only moving objects.
What is a Vacancy Sensor?
A Vacancy Sensor switch automatically turn the lights or fan off for you. Unlike an occupancy sensor, a vacancy sensor doesn't turn on the lights when a motion is detected in a room.
